Any Bourbon Drinkers in the OT?

My New Year's Resolution for the month of January is to 100% stop drinking beer. I have moved to Bourbon and it is wonderful so far.
Bulleit Bourbon is so good. Instead of pounding beer after beer, I just sip on Bourbon on the rocks.
After 2 glasses, I have a nice buzz. I have saved probably 1,000 calories and the buzz is so much better than a beer buzz. 2 glasses (1.5 OZ) of sipping on Boubon is a LOT more healthy than pounding a 6-12 pack of Bud Lite

There is a huge thread on the FDB dedicated to this. Once you get past the egos of the posters it is pretty informative.

Had a buddy who made this switch successfully a few years ago. Actually lost a ton of weight...and eventually his family and his life when his two 1.5oz drinks per night became two fifths. RIP

My resolution is no beer until LSU baseball season, and I'm using water or 0 calorie mixers with whatever I'm having. I like a good gin and tonic too.

next time I am in florida I can introduce you to a great group of people. They dont judge, criticize, or look at you funny. In fact, they are you without you knowing it.

I'm going Snowboarding in Utah at the end of the month so I have to get in shape or I will be miserable. This is going to help me tremendously

It's not normal to pound 6-12 bud lights a day unless you have Peej esque problem or you're in college.
There is definitely a middle
ground to be had..the difference between 1-3 craft beers and bourbon isn't that much.

Blantons imhi is the best but Elijah Craig 12yr old single barrel and Knobb creek are great as well. Both are bold and great for sipping also Jefferson reserve if your just looking for something different.
