Assuming #Colts part ways with Chuck Pagano, they'll think big on coaches. Expected to make Nick Saban & Sean Payton say no before moving on

They should go after the ghost of Stonewall Jackson too.

They'll get Payton. Not Saban.

Rapoport has been obnoxious today on Twitter. Every coaching vacancy tweet seems to have Payton's name in it somewhere.

Because these media assholes have zero respect for the Saints organization, despite the recent success.

i'm personally torn on the issue. I want him to stay IF he cleans house (Vitt and Greg McMahon for starters) if he doesn't thanks for the memories but get out

Adam Schefter reporting that Loomis will grant Payton permission to talk with other teams about coaching jobs and then Saints will listen to compensation for them to hire him. This offseason will be a wild one.

Been saying for months now Saban is done at Bama if he wins a 4th. I truly think he's the next coach at Indy. I could be wrong, but I really think this story has legs

would not be sad to see saban at Indy, but I dont see it. The melt here would be apocalyptic.

i think this will be similar to the Jimmy Graham trade. The Saints want to see what the value of Payton is. If they get an offer thats too good to be true, they take it. If not, they sit down with Payton and figure out moving forward and getting back on track.

So there needs to be smoke for the Saints to field offers.

The only thing that really matters is what CSP wants. If he's committed to leaving then you take the best offer you get and wish him well. Keeping a coach somewhere he doesn't want to be is not a recipe for success. I hope he wants to stay and this is just smoke for an extension negotiation.
