"storylines"
It's a football game not a serial novel or soap opera.

Score the ball or score the basketball drive me insane.
I also hate someone saying "he is golfing his ball" or something to that nature

"hand in the dirt"
AKA, a three-point stance

"He's got plus speed", or "it's a plus matchup"

Yeah, whoever said set the edge is right. That became a hot saying this year.
3 point stance reminds me of 5 tool player.
I also have a weird problem with how Herbstreit never says the "v" in defensive. "Alabama has a great defensa line." Annoys me to no end. I also prefer sem-eye final over sem-uh final. /csb

Watch today on CBS when James Brown says "Welcome to Studio 53" (or whatever number it is) during the pregame show.

When talking about the draft and some idiot like Kiper uses the word "a" along with the player's name when discussing who a team Might draft. IE,
"Team x should be looking at a Joe Stud, a Sam Awesome or a Tom Greatness.
Um. Stop it!!!

Oh shite yeah, the "a" is a good one, particularly when combined with the "when you look at"
When you look at an Arden Key and his ability to bring pressure from the edge, he reminds you of a Keke Mingo

Bilas and Seth Greenberg are responsible for this as well as "ball screen." I swear to god, I never heard any qualifier before screen until 3 or 4 years ago

quote:Yep. It makes it sound like one can go to Lowe's and buy three Arden Keys.

They have even done it with injuries. People are so lazy they don't even say the actual injury. "He has a knee."

That's a heck of a golf shot- what other kind of shot would it be?

Tampa 2
Used to describe any defensive alignment when both safeties are deep regardless of any other aspect of the defense.

4 pages in and no one has mentioned the worst phrase:
"They control their own destiny"

Or a 'plus fastball'.
