1. Our secondary is better , Bama's secondary was unproven so they had more opportunities to make plays
2. What makes them so lethal on defense this year particularly is all that depth on the D-LINE, something we're lacking at the moment

LSU is the only other team in the SEC that can do it.

what makes us so uniquely able to do it and not say, UGA or UF?

Just situationally, I feel like we're better placed defensively with experience. Might have a slight talent advantage over the 2. There's no science behind it. It's just an opinion.

LSU is more like Ole Miss and Arkansas and even they still whip our arse

That's not true and you fricking know it. I guess ole miss is as good as bama as a program since they've beaten them 2 years in a row. Lsu is a borderline top 5 program and a sure fire top 10 program.

You have no clue what youre talking about. LSU is ranked 11th in offensive yards per play. Bama is all the way down at 46. You dumbasses just make it too easy.

I'd take this year's Bama offense over ours all day long. All day long.

You do realize that each of the last two years, Kiffin/Saban have taken merely serviceable QBs who had never taken a meaningful snap at QB and had them lead their team to the playoffs both years.

It can be done.

How do you think those same QBs would have done without Amari Cooper and Derrick Henry? I can't think of the last time an Alabama quarterback "lead" their team to anything.

Yea, Bama has elite talent, chilge. I think we all realize that. We've got some pretty good players too.

Great coaches recognize the talent they have and design their offense to best utilize that talent. Bama has done that with the likes of Greg McIlroy, Blake Sims, and Jake Coker. That was my general point.

it is true. Stop looking at recruiting rankings, LSU has top talent but results show its not a top program. Results on the field dont lie. LSU is not a top 5 program

Prepare for the excuses as to why it's not possible at LSU.

Pure realist.

Doesn't exist.

You're either a true fan and believe Les Miles can do no wrong because his overall record is the only stat ever worth discussing ever. 8 or 9 wins a year is better than most teams so just enjoy it and keep any observations that carry the slightest hint of negativity to yourself because then you're just shitting on the program.

Or

You hate Les Miles and believe he only hires his friends and has never gotten rid of assistant coaches because...BBQ! None of our success under his watch is because of him. None! Our resurgence after 08 and 09 was a fluke and could never repeat itself because he's running the program into the ground.

There is nothing in between. You're either one or the other and you have to choose.

Jtran. You speak the truth. We recruited small and fast thinking we need to stop TA&M and Oregon. Mistake. We need to focus on Bama. I'll take 4 Glen Dorsey's rotating in and out any day.

Difference being our fist year starters are freshmen and soph while Bama's first year starters are generally Jr's and Sr's with a few years in their system. Remember Coker is a 5th year Sr who was competing with Jamis Winston for a starting spot at Fla State in 2012. Harris was still in High School in 2012

Obviously you have not looked at our linebackers for next season. Reggie Ragland (or any other player at linebacker for them) and anyone on the current roster for LSU aren't anywhere near equal.
