You might have heard of a guy named Orgeron. Probably not, though.

Serious question: why would Pelini leave a HC job at the school in his hometown to take a DC job at a place he has already been?

Because they only pay him like 250k. He'd get 4-5 times that from us. Money talks.

At the risk of asking a dumb question...and not flaming...what is all the love for Aranda all about?

It's hilarious. I'm not just some casual football fan and I've literally never heard of Aranda before. But I click this thread and start reading posts and everyone is drooling over him like he is some widely known commodity. Everyone is just piggy backing off others posts and pretending to know who he is.

LSU literally played wisconsin last fall. How have you never heard of him?

Because I'm not a college football analyst for a living? I don't know who their offensive coordinator is either. Hell I'm sitting here watching ole miss who we play every year and I can't name either of their coordinators either.

The only coordinators in the SEC I can name besides ours are Chavis and Muschamp.

Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn't. Aranda at Wisconsin vs SEC teams

2013: USC 438 yards 321/117 34 points
2014: LSU 365 yards 239/126 28 points
2014: AUB 435 yards 216/219 31 points
2015: ALA 502 yards 264/238 35 points

Don't get excited. It'll be someone not on the radar and not someone we will be happy with. Probably someone like the Nicholls State defensive coordinator or a position coach that we've barely heard of or has a less than stellar record. It's the LSU way. When have we hired a coach that excited us?

Just bumping to laugh at you again.

I think TommyDaTiger nailed it. When they announce Curtis Johnson as the new WR coach then he will be 2-2. Haven't heard who the replacement is gonna be for Grimes yet, but I will keep you guys posted

Never was going to get Venables.
Why would Pelini come back? He's still a HC.
Pendergast? Possible.
Aranda? Didn't think it was likely, but CLM pulled it off!!

You guys really believe I drew names from the rant? That is beyond laughable. I remember last year the rant laughed at me when I said Steele was a leading candidate. This info is from solid, inside sources. Aranda is the most likely candidate at this point.
Nailed it.

Maybe you need to follow football a little more closely. Muschamp is the HC at South Carolina.
