Dellenger article? If so lol.

Yep it is. Why are his articles allowed to be posted here? He is awful and most/all are click baits.

Neal was a great at rushing the passer this past season. He is NFL ready. But hope he stays.

its more of a numbers thing then sheer talent.

we have to end this cycle of fringe-NFL underclassmen leaving early if we are going to return to prominence.

having guy like Lacouture around for his SR year will help ease the development of the next group, rather than throwing them into the fire. We are alrready thin there to begin with

LSU will continue to struggle to field a veteran defense in the SEC. Meanwhile, Bama has 8 seniors and 6 juniors in their 2 deep. That's crazy.

Serious Question, appreciate an objective answer(s):

Why does one program loose them so quickly and another program retain them?

Obvious answer is we have better players who are ready to move up but somehow I think there may be more to it than that and I do not have the answer. Even if these guys are staying others have left in the past so it seems to be an ongoing issue.

The only other answer is that schools take huge precautions to make sure that nobody knows about (i.e. can prove).

It's time to ante up like Bama and start paying our upper classmen to stay.

part of it is that they recruit at such a high level and have so much depth that a lot of their top quality NFL ready players don't start until their junior (and sometimes senior) years.

Where as at a school like LSU they are often starting their freshman years out of necessity.

Were you vouching for DALSU a month ago?

Is this "They aren't going anywhere" a "Done Deal?"

Someone made a comment the other day that LSU players leave if they feel that they have a chance to make a practice squad? Bama players come back to go from a 3rd round pick to 2nd or 2nd to 1st. Maybe the players love to play for Les because he doesn't yell at them, but they know that they won't win a championship so they leave.

he isnt going to be a tradtional DE in the NFL like those guys. He'll likely be an OLB in a 3-4, and put his hand down on occasion to rush the passer. His size is fine for that role.

I don't think his quickness comes close to measuring up as a traditional 3-4 OLB.

I'd be surprised if the scouts view him is a guy who has a high upside as a pass rusher in the NFL.
