Spoke to him for a few minutes and got a shot of him and my son with my camera phone. I felt sorry for the guy sitting in the airport sitting by himself. I was struck by a couple of things. First, he was very well spoken and a great representative of LSU. Second, while everyone else is spending time with family over holidays, he's headed back to practice and games in Baton Rouge. I wish I could have done something for him.

Tim is a good dude and a great ambassador for LSU. He will have a pro career in some capacity playing hoops.

At least he got to spend some time with his family during break.

They've got a big game against Wake coming up.

He must have hit ATL for a connection because he walked right past me.

Looked tired. Didn't want to bother him.

He doesn't speak like you'd expect a student athlete to speak and is very composed. The dude is sharp.

Like give him a free education that will carry him for years beyond what he sacrifices at LSU?

Millions of police, firefighters, nurses, military members, etc, etc have to work through the holidays. Let's keep it in perspective.

But sounds like a positive experience, and wish nothing but the best for him and all the athletes in this holiday season.

How would you expect a student athlete to speak?

Tim has been one of my favorite players. He always seems loose and ready to lead his team. He's the teams comedian and when he's on LSU is on.

I love Tim. He is the man...but out of the millions of ways to describe him, well spoken is not one

Some of you guys need to be sensible. More times than not when a microphone is put in front of a college or pro athlete,he sounds like he's from Mars.

I don't know what's going on here but it seems racist, and I am triggered.

I hear you, but he did get to go home for Christmas and he gets to do something I would have loved to have done, play major college hoops. He'll be o.k.

Dude, I hate when people needlessly bring up the race thing....but c'mon. If you ran in to the walk-on white kid that scored the other night, would that be your first thought?
