BYU has always been dirty, everyone knows that who has watched them play the last 20 years.
They cheapshot and hide behind the "Latter-Day Saints" stuff.
People thought Boise was dirty and Fresno St. (they were) but BYU has always been a cheap-shot school.

My cousin played for Air Force in the early 2000s and always said they were the worst. Especially at a school like AFA where no one stays 5 years so against BYU you have 18-19 year olds vs 25 year olds.

They have played dirty since at least the early 80's. I seen't it also at USAFA.

The hosts chalked it up to pent up religious aggression. They did say that they're 25 year old adults picking on kids. I live in a pretty heavy Mormon community and I will say they are delusional about BYU. Harvard of the west is what I hear all the time.

Their basketball fans are awful too. And I've heard the Utah Jazz basketball fans are some of the most ruthless when it comes to yelling at the refs and the opposing team.
