Meh. It would have been a no-brainer if she completed the slam. Djokovic had a better year. If she had the same year and passed Graf, then I get it.

I'm not one who usually talks about such things...
but that's kinda questionable that it's a female athlete who wins their sportsperson of the year and they got her in this sexy lace outfit sporting a sexy pose with heels on with her legs spread over a chair.
I mean, that's fine if she's just on some random cover... but it seems kind of out of place for that to be the cover when she's being honored as their "sportsperson of the year".

A lot of the discussion around Serena this year related to her sexuality and how much more appealing the public (i.e white consumers) would find her if she were lithe, blonde, and blue eyed. The cover fits the narrative

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Plenty of people find Serena attractive but she does not fit the mold set by the dominant culture which is why is specified "white consumers".
