it will be a birthday present for a friend coming up in February. $400-$750 range.
want to get one done with a sheep horn handle. roughly 3 1/2" long blade and 4 - 4 1/2" handle

Check out Al Warren Knives. He just made my dad and I 2 folder knives. Very good job, down to the smallest detail.

Brad Zinker in Homestead, FL - friend of mine grew up with him, his work is insane.
Reccomend a Wooly Mammoth ivory handle- it looks great.
I really can't brag enough on the quailty- I am amazed at every one of his that I've seen.

Williams Knife Co. Their hunting knives are some the best I've ever used. If you're feeling spendy their oyster knives are

Check out Primitive Technology, Edward Rutland, he's from Sunset but he sells outrageously good hand made knives at the Lafayette horse farm outdoor market every Saturday, like tomorrow. Here's an example from the Louisiana Craft Guild page, LINK

All the ones recommend are all nice but if you want a piece of art then Chops knives if the one.

im letting him (the builder) decide the liner color and pins. this is one is for myself.
