LSU ranked by ESPN as fifth easiest place to recruit top talent

5. LSU Tigers
In a state that is seriously loaded with talent, LSU has no serious in-state competition for players, has terrific facilities and a huge and passionate (if occasionally unreasonable in its expectations) fan base. Having to compete for players with the rest of the blue bloods in the SEC West is the only drawback.

And first easiest place to squander top talent!

1. Georgia Bulldogs
Georgia must go no farther than its own backyard for the nation's top talent, has minimal in-state competition for recruits, has top-notch (and ever-improving facilities) and a proven track record of sending players to the NFL. If you can't get players here, check your pulse.

If that is the case then its doesn't matter who the coach is. Talent will come here no matter who the coach is... jk... But seriously we need to find someone who can develop a qb and make LSU a desirable place for future qb prospects

Would rather believe LSU isn't capable of being an elite program to save his boy. Who's the real fan?

I mean they have GT and the same rivals next door
I wouldn't put them 4 higher

Now if we could just keep more number 1 rated offensive tackles instate! IE: Cam & Greg

2. Ohio State Buckeyes
The Buckeyes have one of the strongest brands in sports (national titles help), lie in a high-quality area for football talent, and can point recruits to the 55 players they've had selected in the NFL draft in the past 10 years. Population trends southward have been noted as a potential issue long term, but for now, that has been a blip on the radar at this football factory.

exactly!!!
LSU is established, and has no big in state school to compete with.. tremendous location and huge ties to Florida.
we have been winning on talent for some time, we can do better

about what I expected. Surprised with Georgia being #1 since they are bordered by bama/auburn/fla/SC

They get a good amount of Florida talent.

I was more surprised to see Bama below LSU but I guess the state of LA does produce more top recruits than Alabama. Saban just does a good job getting top out of state guys.

Idk, but it's not going to help anyone's argument that Georgia firing Richt would be comparable to LSU firing Miles.

Jimbo would win a couple titles at LSU

Georgia and Texas are 1 and 3, respectively.
So......you're dumb.

That's not nearly as much of a stretch as Auburn being ahead of Texas A&M.

frick you ESPN.
A 3-game streak of blow outs should be reasonable and keep LSU fans happy.
