Well, I seem to remember one Dabo Sweeney talking about how important a big bowl win over a program like LSU was for the off-season so they could have to confidence to take that next step.

Because they will be able to tell Louisiana recruits we just beat LSU
TT is like the #5 program in Texas they get the leftovers from the other Texas schools. Now if this was TCU or Baylor it might mean something.
