How often do you hear history repeats itself and it actually becomes reality......... Go ahead I am ready.......

This comparison only just occurred to you?

Are y'all really surprised ? Lot of people on here thought that Miles was better then Nick. His first few years when Saban was just getting started

I don't recall McClendon ever winning a national championship. I don't recall Bryant ever being an LSU coach.
Face it, Bama has a better overall program than LSU does. That's no big deal though. Bama is a "one egg, one basket" program. They have no major competitor in the state. Auburn is more of a regional school than an Alabama school. Plus, they suck in every other sport, so football gets all of their attention. Plus, they have no other competitor for the sports dollar. They have no NFL team (like we do with the Saints), and they have no NBA team (like we do with the Pelicans). Their state sucks in every other possible indicator (economic development, health outcomes, poverty rates, etc.). So, all they have is Bama football. One egg, one basket. I think it's fine that they at least have something to lift their spirits.

Penis envy or find a new source of comparison.

Clearly means it's not les miles fault.

Mac was 2-8 vs Bama/Bear
Les 5-6 vs Bama
3-6 vs Little Nicky
Plus the whole Bear Bryant never coached here deal, as others have pointed out.

I for one am ready to move on from miles. But I also recognize the possibility of the post McClendon years of below average football

If Miles was at Bama and had SHAW and the REC and Emmert he would beating Saban at LSU.

So you are actually saying that Tulane, UL, LaTech, etc. are MORE competition in Louisiana for LSU-- than Auburn is for Alabama in THAT state.
Damn, you're dumb.

Agreed that the $400 million going to the Saints could help the state's budget issues, but that is a done deal as sickening as it is considering Tom Benson is the richest man in Louisiana! LSU has a better stadium than Bama and a better state to select players from and sorry Auburn is a major competitor for talent unlike ULaLa or the Techsters.

I like History. Good History, tho. Not bad History.

This is not true.
This is not near true.
However, BDS over TS is not a big recruiting advantage for the gumps. We have many more urgent problems vis a vis Alabama.

you're a fricking idiot.
plain and simple.

Soooo what I'm getting that you're saying is that if we run Les off like we did Cholly, then we're looking at the next 20 years being in the 56% range in winning percentage? Yeah. Let's do that.

Other than Bama having a better overall football program than LSU, the rest of this is absurd.
Auburn is not a major competitor to Bama? So ULL and Tulane and Tech pose a bigger threat to LSU?
The Saints threaten LSU? The PELICANS threaten LSU? There are MSL teams with bigger followings than the Pelicans.
And as bad as you think Alabama (the state) sucks, you better not throw the rock or you'll break one of your glass walls. Check the poverty and health rates you mention... Louisiana is below Alabama in both.
As for economic development, Alabama is much more diversified than Louisiana. Maritime, energy, medicine, health, auto, heavy industry, military procurement.
Louisiana is still hanging onto energy, chemicals and tourism.

I did not say any of that. You did. Nice debating fallacy of the intellectually feeble there. You put words into other people's mouths (straw man), and then try to pawn them off as a counterpoint to feed your narrative. Is that really the best you can do?
Posted on 12/6/15 at 12:34 pm to im4LSU
So you have no counterargument. Got it.
