Why would you?

I have zero responsibility to prove that Jimbo wasn't in serious talks with FSU. LSU fans keep saying he was, yet have provided zero evidence -- other than "sources," which were previously very wrong.

Reading comprehension; you missed the point. You're a hypocrite for saying you've heard things that you know to be the case but can't provide links. Shoe was on the other foot this time and you dismissed it. In the end it was a moot point since the University President quashed the firing. Nothing will ever be proven either way.

Likewise to prove they didn't. But you are kidding yourself if you think this was not a serious run at your coach. All the things you have quoted in your OP are the damage control talking points.

The origin of this coup attempt is that Jimbo is still to this day friends with big money and political people in LSU system. Tiger Athletic Foundation, TAF, calls the "money shots" with regard to most of the athletic issues. Don't ask me why but Jimbo has told multiple people over here since he was at FSU that he loved it in BTR and he would not mind returning.

This essentially was a high level wink and a nod attempt deal that had one purpose and one only. Get Jimbo. The signals for that had to have come from him or his agent for LSU to enter into the Miles disposal plan. The folks handling that botched it so badly that both sides walked away from it.

The good news for you is that I don't think LSU comes back for him next year although I think we could likely be looking for a coach.
