You're never gonna get confirmation from either side. LSU is not going to burn that bridge, and obviously Jimbo has nothing to gain by acknowledging anything.

Jimbo's FSU deal isn't a year old. It wasn't about that at all. The 2 programs are very similar, outside of conference, money, recruiting competition, and mostly just a change of scenery for he and his wife, given their circumstances.

I understand why FSU would get defensive about it. But don't think for a second that whichever job opens first b/w LSU and Alabama, that he won't be gone. People say Dabo will get AL job, but I think Saban will recommend Fisher.

And it wasn't Saban money that was agreed upon by Fisher/Sexton. It was 6 plus the difference of no sales tax in FL.

FWIW.....and I know no one will believe me

I have a friend who happened to be on Miles' staff with Jimbo. He is still a coach at another school. He talked to Jimbo this week, and was told he never really got very far in any negotiation. They both were laughing at all this media bullshite. He said it's safe to believe about 15% of all coaching rumors.

It may change if Clemson wins the NC this year, but many Bama fans I know love Dabo but still don't think he's a great head coach.

As far as DA and the few others who posted the Jimbo stuff, I personally think they were being fed made-up shite by someone in order to build sentiment for Les being fired. Many fans supported this with the possibility of a home run hire.
