Our fan base was already split over CLM.
Now we all realize that the larger issue stems from the LSU admin and its lack of commitment to competing for and winning National Championships yearly.
And it appears that the fan base is, some what, split again over that notion.
None of it really matters at this point. LSU has chosen not to follow the bama's and the Michigans of the world. Instead LSU will aim for mediocrity and if it falls short of that so be it.
LSU is sinking and its best shot, believe it or not, is the guy many want gone, Les Miles. Now he has to do it as damaged goods thanks to this debacle. And if he mails it in next year, if the class of 2017 is non existent, LSU will find itself near the bottom of the West for a very long time. He would have to win the SEC at least to keep LSU from its impending slide into the doldrums. (AT least temporarily or until F King Alexander can be made gone)
In the SEC, its keep up or get left behind and LSU clearly is not concerned with keeping up.

It's 2008 & 2009 again, even if you don't realize it.
Nothing but downhill from here.

Just calling it how it is.
LSU has a coach they dont really want because they would not pony up.
Now that coach is suppose to save them?
Its all but over

Awesome. Some good movies and music.
And that Godfather's buffet will be back on Chimes Street.

I plan to fish a lot more on Saturdays in the fall.

a funny thing is, all the concern about how this originally would look to a perspective hire and now I think it looks worse. Who the hell will want to go to a program that appears to be a pawn for political games AND the political players (at least the universtiy Pres) is/are cheap, tight asses? Would you believe anything FKA would tell you regarding money after all this?
That's not going to negatively impact hiring the next coach? Please.

Good plan.

Can you post the powerball numbers for Saturday's drawing while you're prognosticating?

Coach Miles is not going to mail it in next year, not even for one week. He would never do that. His character would never permit that, and, it is insulting to him to suggest that he would mail in next year.
May we please STOP with the slandering of Coach Miles's integrity?
I have a problem with his head coaching ability, I believe that he needs to improve. However, that's not the same as questioning his character.

I'm pissed off but the situation isn't so bad that I've become a moron and started embarrassing threads like this one.

I guess i was unclear.
Didnt mean ito slight the man. I wanted a new coach but i love Miles as person.
Regardless, the administration has damaged his image and he likely wont get a new OC so more of the same is expected. And that just wont be good enough.
Its not nearly all his fault IMO

I was thinking it feels like the 90's because LSU had a golden opportunity to improve football, and balked on it. Because the state is poor and it would "look bad". Going cheap and settling...

A fine line between getting there and already being there, but ok
