Fox was forced to release a statement today directed at rumours DiCaprio's character in his controversial new film The Revenant is raped "twice" by a bear.

A Fox spokesperson told Entertainment Weekly: "The bear in the film is a female who attacks [Leo] because she feels he might be threatening her cubs ... there is clearly no rape scene with a bear."

That official statement came after a Drudge Report story suggested the attack scene went a little too far.

"The bear flips Leo over and thrusts and thrusts during the explicit mauling," the Drudge Report said, claiming the bear raped DiCaprio's character "twice".

Well, now I'm not going to see it. Bear rape happens to be one of my fantasies.

I don't buy it. The bear was clearly wearing a strap on. Leo is angling for the ever elusive Oscar with this risky performance. We'll see if it works out for him.

That shite got out of hand and in a hurry.

Anyone else think Inarritu wins back to back Best Director Oscars?
