This dude is killing me. Did he curve up the grades at the end of the semester? I'm borderline failing and I really don't want to have to retake this class

How many did you get wong on the test?

Is that the ME thermo? If it is they usually don't curve it.

It's the thermo for non mechanical majors. The 2nd midterm avg was a 50. Idk how he isn't going to curve a good bit of the class is failing, but keep hearing he doesn't curve. Fml

I didn't have to take it, but he doesn't curve it.

ha ha...i had a physics w calc class with some dude from cal tech and his assistant from mit, once. I was getting a robust 25% right, which was the norm in the class. The high grade dude was getting 50%. He was a pizza delivery guy that was later convicted of murder. He was also a drug dealer and tortured and killed a guy for some drug money / drug deal gone bad.
Enjoy failure. It can be liberating and you'll be surprised at how much you actually learn.

Give him a break. He's still getting over the death of his brother Sum Ting who died in that plane crash

I had him for that class. I didn't miss a single point on anything until the final, which I made a 97.5 on. Ended up with a 99.something average
LSU students getting stupider by the day I guess

I'll pay you to come take the final for me

That was like 5 years ago, I don't remember that shite. I haven't used anything like that since the FE
Posted on 12/1/15 at 9:46 pm to DollaChoppa
I feel like I'll never use this shite.

It's actually Harris. He likes to go by Harry though

Wong is tough but he's fair. He'll fail anybody.
He's a great teacher. Buckle down and learn the shite back to front. If you get out of a Wong thermo class, you'll be ready for anything.
Till you get him again for fluids and get power butt raped.

This is the only mechanical class I have to take. If I'm remotely close you think he will pass me? I feel like he won't. He seems like a very cold person.

damn, I am kinda surprised he is still there...he started teaching there my senior year...
Posted on 12/1/15 at 9:53 pm to Merica
Should have taken ChE Thermo 1 with Hung. Not easy, but very reasonable tests and you'll learn it.

He's cut and dry. Either you pass or you don't.
Do you do all of the homework? Do you go to him or the T/A's for help with the homework when you don't get it? Do you sit in the upper quarter of the class and ask questions/ speak up during class?
Most students who answer no to the above Fail a Wong class. He's tough but he's good. Embrace it.
I've been there and made it out. If you buckle down and do everything you can to learn what he's teaching you'll pass. If the first time he sees you is when you go beg for forgiveness the day after the final 8 points away from a passing grade, you're fricked.
