People saying "they have had it with LSU Football"

These were not real fans anyway. I do feel for the fans, as I am an LSU fan, and an alumnus. The culture of college football and college athletics
has changed drastically over the last two decades. I am concerned what it might be like in twenty years.
LSU Football has changed much from when DiNardo coached, just 20 years ago, in 1995, when LSU won the Indy Bowl in Shreveport with Gabe Northern and Kevin Faulk. LSU beat a Nick-Saban led Michigan State in a game typified by offensive and special teams fireworks.
Back then things were simple. Tailgating was not yet the cultural phenomenon it has become. Bands were still allowed on campus on game day. There were few parking restrictions. These were the good ole days.
Then the salaries spiked. Coaches demanded more money, forcing departments to squeeze every dollar out of every conceivable revenue stream. The culture changed overnight, as the fans, squeezed by escalating ticket prices, fees and assessments due to stadium upgrades and salary increases, have become more aware of the teams failures and successes, wanting some way to justify the excess.
Part of me wishes we could revert back to a simpler time, when Tiger fans were proud of their coach and the young men on their team who won eight and lost three, giving their best for Coach Miles and LSU.
There is still dignity in loyalty.
LSU almost repeated the Charlie McClendon mistake. Alleva brought us to the brink. In doing so he damaged the brand. Miles and his staff have work to do on the recruiting trail thanks to him.
Alleva is not a friend of Les Miles, or the football program.
Moving forward this should be noted.
Happy holidays everyone.

Says who? Just because someone doesn't want to accept mediocrity makes them less of a fan than you?

Do you really think miles is capable of winning the SEC at this point?

It's funny how you say we should "be proud of our coach" even though he's only going 8-3 and not competitive in the SEC West. But you jump all over Alleva for his performance. Why should Alleva be accountable for his performance but Miles should not be accountable?

True-but you can't be a diehard fan and turn your back on the players and the school!!!!

Gonna be awesome next year.
We'll lose three SEC games and have Miles acting goofy as hell.
Ya think we suck now, wait until next year.

frick you.
frick you. Some of you have never liked him and never will. You think it's so fricking easy to win. It's not. I'm not the biggest Miles fan but you assholes make me like him more because you think you know it all.

You can either be a fan of LSU football or Coach Miles, but not both.

We have no quarterback in this recruiting class.
No matter who Bama puts in at quarterback every year they will be better than whoever LSU has at QB. Why the frick is that?

Calm down. We're gonna suck again next year.
The offense will look the same. Special teams will still suck. Defense may improve, but not by much.
Our coach is being rewarded for mediocrity. I hope you like mediocrity.

Miles did LSU a favor by not going to Michigan before the SECC game.
LSU did Miles a favor by not holding him accountable for lack of coaching.
They're even. Now, let's see what modern, up-tempo offense LSU puts on the field next year. We won't. So, you get your wish...back to the Indy Bowl in perpetuity.

Somebody on this board said it best. He's given the keys to a Lamborghini every year. He hasn't crashed it, but he's driving it 15 mph.
You can be a fan of the program and not the coach of the program. This isn't VA Tech.

That was me. I said it's like Miles has been given the keys to a Ferrari and ran it into a tree going 6 miles per hour.

I don't think the OP said that a person who is disappointed with the coach is not a real fan. I, like the OP apparently, saw several people post "I'm done with LSU football" if Miles is still the coach. If a person done with a team because they don't like the coach or if even if the team is losing games, that person is not a true fan. In fact, that person is the opposite of the definition of a true fan, that would make that person a bandwagon fan.
Note that I do not apply that to you, I do not believe I have seen you state you were done with LSU.

I'm not gonna say this is the stupidest thing I've seen on this board, cause stupid lives here, but this is pretty stupid.
