I think so too. If not then this would have to be the dumbest administrative move in the history of LSU. I want Miles gone but not if we don't have a home run hire waiting in the wings.

While I hope you are right, my confidence is muted - the way the whole thing has been handled has been abysmal. The administration's actions (or lack of) has been a bush league fiasco.

I agree. Bama was getting ripped pretty hard during the coaching search when they got Saban but they definitely ended up getting the last laugh. You've gotta think LSU knew this would be a pretty unpopular move nationally due to the popularity for Les as a coach and CFB personality. I don't expect them to be "starting a comprehensive coaching search" when they announce the departure of Les.
