I believe he is taking a page out of Saban's book to get more money!

Logic tells me no deal is done with anyone. Not what I want but if Miles is indeed let go it will take at least 2 weeks for a new HC to be announced. No one is a “done deal” while LSU still has a coach, much less with someone that is currently employed and prepping to play a rivalry game between 2 ranked teams. These guys are pros that’s not how things work.
First off, all logic says Miles is done. You don't allow such a rumor to fester for weeks without refuting it publicly. LSU would have refuted the story if they have every intention of keeping Miles.
Secondly, deals are done behind the scene all the time. Coaches don't have to be all that involved when they have agents doing the work. IMO, only a fool would fire Miles without a done deal.
Lastly, my only concern is whatever deal we have in place falls apart and LSU is left scrambling to do a protracted coaches search.

His recent marital status and child custody, along with the health of one of his sons concerns me. That SERIOUSLY complicates things unless Baton Rouge has never gotten out of his blood. That wife has a lot of pull. Here is hoping she wants more alimony and is willing to relocate with the kids in order to get it.

Well now, Jimbo needs to find himself a beautiful ebony woman - this will promote healing to the depths of his soul and other parts [to some extent].

You can certainly tell who takes the time and effort to read the board when there are developments happening and who do not read and just choose to pop in an question everything because it doesn't fit their logic or even what they hope to see happen.

Jimbo writes the checks
If he moves, the kids come along...
and that means the Ex moves as well...
They have been together for 22 years... I think because she cheated, she will be more than willing to move to her children can be with their dad.
this is a none issue

Coaching issues aside cheating is a trash thing to do. I don't care who you are or wtf happened you leave before you cheat. (No I've never cheated or been cheated on)

More money for Jimbo or Sexton? It's probably more by now but Sexton's payday is or was 10%.

Pretty sure Jimbo mentioned somewhere years ago LSU was his dream job.
Surely given the Internet archives that document nearly everything it would be documented somewhere in a legit source, no?

You use a decent hire as a smokescreen to keep the heat off your home run hire.
That means we're getting Urban Meyer.

Pretty sure Jimbo mentioned somewhere years ago LSU was his dream job. He even mentioned how much he loved it here as FSU's HC. Jimbo stayed here past Saban's era in hopes of being the eventual HC but he had disagreements with Les and FSU offered him coach in waiting. He couldn't refuse. If LSU wants him bad enough he'll come, IMO. The question is how much does he want and how much LSU is willing to pay him. If he expects something like 8 million a year I'm not sure LSU will pony up for that even though we can afford it.
Bunch of bs in here.
