WRONG. May want to check your facts, way off.
LSU was unranked at end of year last year after losing bowl game. Finished 16th year before. Will probably finish unranked this year or bottom 20.

I would like to live next door to Coach Miles. I'd be an awesome next door neighbor.

No they arent. In no way are my facts WAY OFF.
2012- #8
2013-#16
2014-unranked
We finished 14th in the coaches poll in 2013.
If we win Saturday and win our bowl game we will finish in the top 20.
That's 3 out of 4 years ranked in the top 20. Not far off. check your shite.

Top 20 and that's far from mediocre. Fact
2012- top

When did he win 13 games?

Im using a hypothetical situation between starting a powerhouse and maintaining a powerhouse.
It's far easier to have 2 12 win seasons in 5 years than it is for teams to average 10 wins over a decade.
From 2009-2013 only 4 programs out of 126 won at least 9 games every year and lsu was one of them. 99% of cfb programscan't win 9 games every year.

Sure, he can get another coaching job, but it won't be at a high level program. Those ADs have seen what's occurred here.
There's not a plethora of championship-level coaches out there -- ever.
Les and LSU might have lost something along the way, but the man still knows how to coach. Some time and a fresh perspective might be what he needs to get his mojo back, and not get a big time offer?
frickin Houston Nutt and Bobby Petrino got offers and they never won shite.

Will Les be hired to a big time program if fired? by allsports34
absolutely.
I have some Virginia Tech Alum coworkers.
They are all very excited about the possibility of getting Les to replace Beamer.
They laugh about those crazy Louisiana folks who would fire him...

Why do we need to keep piling it on?? He's gone, let him go in peace.

Les is like a beautiful woman you marry after your your first gorgeous wife leaves you for a rich doctor. She blows you every night and fricks your brains out for a few years, then starts getting too lazy to continue the charade. You dump her and she'll find another schmuck to fool for a couple years.

I'd like to see what he could do at Miami
I actually was telling someone that if he's let go here, they will probably pursue him hard. Miami needs a recruiter badly.

Yes, if he wants it. He may not do if right away because he gets more money out of Alleva and "the big donors" if he remains out of coaching. Athletic directors all over the country see this guy getting roasted in an extremely unprofessional manner by our athletic department. If DiNardo can get rehired, Miles can land a major job.

If he doesn't, it will be because he didn't want one. He's about at retirement age, seems to be in good health, and may not want to start over again. If he did want another gig and was willing to commit to the time necessary to build his program, he'd get it.
Consider his record at LSU, in context. 1 national title, 2 title game appearances, 2 SEC titles, 3 SEC West titles, 110 wins vs 32 losses overall here, 60 wins vs 27 losses, will have been to a bowl every season here, will have had a winning record every season here (has 7 wins now, so if we lose out, 7-5 will be his absolute worst). That's zero losing seasons. In the SEC over that same time period, pick the other school that can claim that.
shite on him if you like, and it's certain that his time has come here, but the guy's record speaks for itself.

Of course he will
Hopefully it's not some spoiled bitch school like LSU that will appreciate what he can do
