Flash mob hits designer store in Georgetown, steals $13,000 worth of goods

The incident comes after a group of merchants in Georgetown ended its use of a private messaging service that many retailers, residents and police officers had used to talk about people they thought were suspicious. There were concerns that the service was being used to racially profile people.

I don't see what the messaging service has to do with a flash mob.
The entire idea of a flash mob is a lot of people randomly show up at a single place at one time. Even if you had a description of one or two, it wouldn't be that beneficial in this situation.

The perfect way to dispel stereotypes that people of a certain demographic are more likely to steal is obviously to show up and steal stuff.

Let's see. Shop owners become concerned about black criminality. They begin to warn each other about it via private message. Blacks find out and are outraged to be considered potential criminals. To protest they go in and wreck a store and steal all the shite they want.
