The main negative is whatever shame/embarrassment he will eventually bring on the university. As he has at virtually every head coaching gig he's ever had.

I get that its a hypothetical, but we have zero appetite for this to happen. This guy has zero allegiance to anyone but himself and LSU is looking for stability. We're also looking for a home-run. Lane is-at best-a beat-out-the-throw-from-the-shortstop-single.
