My highest paying job is the one I have now, but my favorite job was working for a cabinet shop. All paid holidays off, and my shift was 6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday. Loved the 4 day work week.

Most fun job was when I was a cocktail waitress at the Belle. It was fun in that I worked with a bunch of really cool people and we all would go out drinking after work. I was 21-22 at the time and just had fun while working there. Easy job and made decent money (for a server job while in college that is).
I still keep in touch with people I worked with at that job.

I have a great job now and I enjoy it. My favorite job though, I worked part time after school and on weekends at the Brookstown Texaco.
Back in the 80s that area was populated with old people and I loved dealing with them. They would being in their absolutely mint old cars and I'd check the oil and fill them up.
I really loved that job.

During college, worked afternoons in the office supply warehouse of the main office of a bank in Baton Rouge. They'd send in their orders for envelopes, ink pens, and what not, and you'd go around twice a day and pass the stuff out. I worked for an old Italian dude the first week, then he went in the hospital for a routine procedure and never came out. For a couple of months, I had the place to myself. I'd fill the orders, then snooze in the back the rest of the time. They brought in another guy to supervise me, and I quit

I worked in a restaurant from senior year of high school all thru college. It was such a fun job, great pay for part time work and you're around tons of girls to hook up with. Great times.

Deckhanding on a charter boat. At the end of the day, the tourists didn't want half of the fish that they caught and by rule, usually overbought on beer, which they abandoned after leaving the boat sunburned and hung-over. Made for some good times and good cookouts at the harbor after the day's trip.

Worked on a state senate campaign as a canvaser. $12/hr working with my two best friends. We'd go in at 9AM and BS with the manager (Post-frat) for 3ish hours, take lunch for an hour, walk houses for a few hours and then drink while we made phone calls (Which was awesome when you're 19).
There was an hour of sign waving at busy intersections every day, but that was the only complaint.

B Dalton's bookstore in high school. I got all of the free overstock books I could ever want.
Overstock means that if a paperback book sits on a shelf long enough and doesn't sell, you rip the cover off, and send the ripped cover back to the publisher. You are then technically supposed the throw the overstock book into the dumpster, but employees got to have their pick of what they wanted to take home. So to this day, I have a shitload of paperback books with the covers ripped off.

Forklift Operator and eventually marina supervisor at real estate development and golf resort in Georgia. Pay was decent for a college student ($12 per hour), tips were always welcome and trophy wives in skimpy bikinis made the scenery nice. Got to play golf for free after a certain time of day at some of the more expensive golf courses in the state. Plus I generally got the left over booze that someone didn't wont because they were heading back home after dropping their boat off. On most weekends I would make about $300 in tips and holiday weekends somewhere around $500.

Worked in the yard of a local construction company one summer and ran deliveries to job sites. The owners had about a dozen cars they'd leave at the yard and after I got to know them, they would let me drive any of them over the weekends, except the Jags. Best job perk ever for a 17 year old.
