Flying hungover is the worst. Gotta stand all that time boarding, then possibly sit next to a motormouth, followed by being hot on the flight the entire time.

Exactly. Life is too short to think that anything else is the right answer. If your goal on a trip is to drive and experience the bullshite minutia of the country, then go for it. But if your goal is to go to single places, you're an idiot if you don't fly to them if they are a very long drive away.
