Who will want to take over where the coach of the #2 ranked team just over two weeks ago, who was the winningest coach in school history, who has the #1 recruiting class for 2016 lined up, is fired ruthlessly? After having his DC essentially forced out by the AD a year prior?

Like it or not, that will be the perception of many outside this bubble. And I know Les is done here after Saturday, no disillusions here. But realistically -- that will play into the minds of whoever looks at this as a coach on the outside looking in.

I'll hang up and listen (and get blasted by the people who think anyone can step in and go unbeaten next year).

Not expecting to go unbeaten just expecting to use our talent a lot better than Leslie has done. That's all

Lets see: Highest paid coaching staff, no in-state recruiting rivals, SEC, $4-5 million for yourself, top 10 facilities, current #1 recruiting class.

Yeah who would want that.

Nobody here...NOBODY...can give you a legitimate answer to this question, as nobody here is a top-tier D1 head coach.

For millions of dollars? No. What person in their right mind would want millions of dollars per year to coach a sport.

You dont think any coach worth a shite would look at LSU...see where we were 2 weeks ago...ranked #2 and have the Heisman front runner and then see the wheels come off the bus and not wonder what the frick are the coaches doing down in Baton Rouge???

Any Coach worth a shite would fricking KILL to have the opportunity to coach the team with potential oozing out of its eyes.

A coach with balls knows what he is getting into...great compensation and high expectations.

Is LSU the best job in CFB...no....but coaches are fricking Alpha males who want a legacy.

All any coach considering coming to LSU will need to do is look at video of LSU. He will immediately think he can do a better job of coaching the talent that LSU has. Add in the millions per year that LSU can afford to pay, and, yes, many coaches would want to come to LSU.

If I was at some small school in a conference nobody ever heard of, yes.
Most head coaches at Power 5 Conference schools are already making big bucks. But I bet more than one uses LSU to get more money.
The ones the LSU fans are clamoring about aren't coming.

That's why the pay is high. If you don't perform, then you hit the road.

Anyone can see that CLM has been too hardheaded to change with the game, to make the changes needed. Evidenced by his recent SEC record and complete meltdown this year.

And do you really think he would have kept that class intact with a 4 game skid to end the year?
