Fun fact: those 2 coaches are a combined 24-8 against LSU.

I like Miles. He's been damn successful here. I don't want to see us fire him. But I'll admit head coaches need that high testosterone fire sometimes. Mack Brown lost it. I think Saban is losing it soon, too. Les still has it sometimes, but our team needs more fire and discipline.
We'll all have to just wait and see what happens, because nothing in any message board is going to influence what's going on.

No one can deny we've had unprecedented (for LSU) success under Les. It's about trends, man.

What is Bear and Saban's winning pct. vs LSU?

How many players still on the team were around 5 years ago?

Bear Bryant wasn't playing McNeese, Western Kentucky and Eastern Michigan in a non-conference schedule.

Yep, neither does 8-6 in the SEC in the last two years.

Those are somewhat deceptive stats when you consider that the college football season from Bryant's time to now was expanded from 10 to 12 games, and those extra two games are typically filled with cupcakes.

I can't understand how some people seem to defend Miles at this point by throwing out his overall record. If you have been satisfied with the last four (four, not one or two) years then you do not have the same expectations that I have for this program. Hell, we have not even been competitive twice in a row against Arkansas! We have been beaten by Bama five times in a row and we have been non competitive 3 of those 5. I just want the ability to at least compete with the elite level teams again, the last four years we have been irrelevant. But go on and talk about how good we were five years ago....that'll help.

Regular season games against teams that finished in the top 25 at the end of the year.
Miles overall record:
20-18
Through 2011 season:
13-11
From 2012 on:
7-7
Pretty darn consistent.

Did Miles take over a program coming off seasons of 4-7 and 3-8? Some of you are ridiculous.
In the 2 years prior to Saban taking over LSU, we went 7-15, while the two years prior to Miles, LSU went 22-4. I'd say that kind of helped him to start off stronger.
God, some people just love to ignore circumstances. Miles first 3 years, he was 34-6 at 85%, since then he's 75.2% and 76-25. Let's just remember that.
