That's like saying Godzilla's left nostril is his weakest fire-breather.

At LSU? Doesn't look that good. At Bama? GOAT.

team quits late in the year
Since 2012 he is 6-2 after losing to Bama. In his tenure, he's only lost back to back games 3 times, all to Arkansas. For whatever reason, Arkansas has been a thorn in his side. But the record in November is only bad because of 1 team. So I don't really buy the team quits or the record would be much worse.

When was the last time LSU lost, and you could genuinely say they played and coached a good game and just got beat? Generally the losses are the result of terrible game plans or game management. This is the #1 problem people have with miles.
Bama 2014. LSU should have never been in position to win that game. Saban was out coached during regulation.

Most of his tenure has been miserable

n miserable by vjm41 NO change needed WE have a fanbase, a large section of a fan base that is happy being Average with Miles. Bama was AVG with Shula they got rid of him, and look where they are now. Bama expected more and that's what they got. We expect LES and that's what we get, LESS./// But we all talk about 07. A 2 loss Championship with Saban players that Miles lost to 2 INFERIOR teams. Kentucky and Arkansas, and all the stars had to line up for us to win with by far the most talented team in the country!!!1 POOR LSU
I realize Miles time here is done also but this Bama expects excellence crap is just that-crap. Saban literally fell into their laps. Bama did nothing to get him except experience lucky timing. Without the luck of the timing- which most coaching searches that end well are 50% made up of- Bama hires another sucky coach with "Tide-ties" to the past. Go back and look at all their "excellent" hires after Bear. They had lots of ups and downs with only moderate success. Heck, one "excellent" hire never even coached one game due his prostitute problem. You don't have to re-write history to understand the timing here but I'll be doggone if that's not just what you did.

God, how we all laughed when those first vague rumors of Saban to Bama surfaced ...

You can want Les gone without pretending his whole tenure has been miserable
I think those who shite on his tenure at LSU are far and few between and the vast majority of LSU fans fall into your line of thinking. At least in my experience.

I like the way Les holds the team back under the goal posts before the game. They all get hyped up with fury and emotion, while he holds those "Tigers" back. Then, when he's convinced they can no longer be contained, he releases them to sprint onto the field, and to the sideline, in a frenzy of fired up passion to unleash on the opponents .

it's one of the cool things he does. Hold dat Tigah!
there's been a lot of good times, but again, getting to this point is not unexpected. we've got one SEC title and one BCS appearance since 2007.

I'm just saying, I'm not sure we make another championship run without our coach holding that Tiger. I don't see it being discussed much and am wondering if people have really thought this through, that's all.
