How long does it take for a food plot to grow?

I've never planted one before as we have always hunted woods prior to this new lease. Got a bit of a late start and just planted almost two weeks ago. I planted two 1/2 acre plots with wheat, rye, and oats and was wondering how long it usually takes for the plot to grow in strong because I probably won't be able to go check on it until opening day. Thanks in advance.

Should be looking good by now. Personally I prefer my food plots to be just tender shoots when season opens. The deer find them more palatable.

I planted mine middle of Sept. They were just starting to look real good and all that damn rain completely ruined them. $300 down the drain

I planted mine the day before the torrential rain in north Louisiana. I hope it didn't drown out the seed before it was started

I hope not. I was an idiot and didn't check the weather report. The good thing is our land is flat as a pancake and not prone to flooding
