Wanting to get rid of Cameron = extremely stupid

We need continuity at OC to succeed IMO.
Cameron recruited QBs to fit into his system and this is the first year he is getting to use one of them. He didn't recruit Jennings. Harris is his guy and for a true soph I'd say he's doing pretty well. McMillan has allegedly shown promise and will take a redshirt this year meaning he could have 3 years in the system to learn and another 2 to play or compete for the starting job with whoever else we bring in. It would be lunacy right now to switch offensive coordinators. Other than Bama game we've been very productive with a young QB.

while I understand your point and Im not saying its wrong, but I dont agree. I wouldnt fire him, but I also wouldnt be upset if we had a new OC.

Agree 100% but no one that matters is honestly considering whacking Cameron at this point.

Well you probably should be
A new system for the entire team to learn isn't a good thing
And that system might not work with the players that Cam has been recruiting.
Continuity and coordinator positions pays off

Two things that are not going to happen:
Cam getting replaced
Miles taking his hands off the offense
Cam getting replaced
Miles taking his hands off the offense

We got destroyed up front. That really limits what you can do offensively. And we're playing a true soph QB.
It's as if the first 7 games of the season didn't even exist to some of you people.

ask the 2012 Ravens about that continuity and this very same man.

Miles will determine the offenses philosophy, not the OC. He's proven that over and over. I bet that's why we had delay of game penalties and forced time outs. Miles was negating the play and a new one had to be sent down.

Only served to convince many fans that we were better than we really were. We flunked our examination (again) with flying colors.

Their offense is worse now that hes gone.

I gotta be honest here, and I'm sure I'll catch hell, but I find very little difference between Jordan Jefferson, Mettenberger's first year, Anthony Jennings, and Brandon Harris generally speaking.
Sure one performance might be slightly better than another, but they have essentially been the same. Unproductive considering the position.
I have no idea how to explain Mett's 2nd year other than Miles obviously knew his defense was going to suck so he decided to let Cam do his thing and actually let NFL caliber receivers play ball.
But these performances from the qb position are a Miles signature.

The coaches watched game film of bamas front 7 correct?

Trying to run into the strength of their defense is a sound game plan?

Plenty of teams with fresh/soph qbs that don't have ex NFL OC's as mentors that have developed quicker than OB's at LSU.

same here, we kind of need the continuity and no telling what effect that would have on this recruiting class which I shaping up pretty well.
But we do need him to wake the frick up and smell the dam coffee.

Recruiting your friends to be on your staff rarely works. Look at the offensive trends of this team during Miles' tenure here. It's nothing spectacular aside of 07 and 13.
There is a common denominator here and it's Miles himself.

Uh, no. Proof is the same ol stagnant passing attack. Miles sucks, OC sucks, gameplan sucks. Same shite every year, so your continuity bs is not paying off at all.
Oh, but wait till next year? I've been hearing that yearly bullshite way too long

Yes
Apparently they were more confident in the O line

We tried running inside and outside. It didn't work. We had a couple of well timed short passes and Harris missed on them. You have to execute.

Sure
And they usually play in gadget offenses in soft conferences.
I'm expecting improvement from Harris over the next 2 seasons. And we'll have more seasoned guys behind him ready to step up. So long as they don't have to learn a new system.

you think the Ravens are worse because of him leaving? Because under Caldwell and Kubiak both those offense both out performed Cameron's. This year the Ravens are still a top 10 NFL offense statistically (as of last week, not sure what this weekend mightve changed) with less talent at wide receiver now with Steve Smith hurt than what Cameron has at his disposal at LSU.
However I'll bite and go along with if you really wanna say by the eye ball test the Ravens offense is worse, rather than looking at the numbers, since Cameron left. You are right, it probly has to do with Cameron's firing... Nothing to do with losing the skill position players of Boldin, Smith x2, one of the better young tight ends in the game in Pitta, and the Ray Rice fiasco.

please tell me of one run that was designed to go outside...I only saw LF bounce it outside because the hole wasn't there. Why no speed sweeps...a reverse..counter...something other than a designed run inside the tackles?

brings me to another point. I have heard LSU has a very complex route tree for wr's...why? why not simplify it and make it easier for qb and wr?

But the problem is we haven't had continuity at the OC position and it has hurt us
We've gone through Fisher, Crowton, Kragthorpe*, Stud and now Cameron who is only in year 3. If you replace him now, you're almost assuring misery at the QB position.
