Something in the army where if you feel your drill sergeant is being too hard on you. You fill out a slip of paper (I guess) and write down what is stressing you out.
Kinda like the "where did the bad man touch you" doll.

I think you were really flaming on this and very wrong on your attempt....
However, what I have always found very interesting is where is the same respect for police, firemen and EMT's...they all get shot at, bit, beat up, see horrific things and help you at your worst life moments, etc and for a hell of a lot less benefits and for usually an entire career. Where is the massive outpouring of love and respect for their sacrifice on a daily basis?
Before you blow up, I am not in any of these professions, nor are any family.

The men and women of the armed forces volunteer to possibly die for me so I can go to lsu games, hunt, fish, make a living, express my views, make love to my woman, cook on a Saturday night with my wife and kids while drinking double fricking jack n coke and do whatever the frick I want as long as it's legal in the eyes of our legal system in peace and without having to fear for my life and my family's life from foreign enemies (who trust me, would love to see how country get obliterated off this planet). So to answer your question.
You OP can go frick yourself and go live in the world of unicorns and rainbows.

Firemen and EMT's are loved in this country. Police...not so much.

You do have a valid point

It's fake support 90% of the time. Throw a yellow ribbon on your car, clap at sporting events when they ask vets to stand, demonize anyone who questions military policy.
Other than that as long as it doesn't affect you or your immediate family, no point analyzing why our leaders continue to send young men to die in failed conflicts or actually doing anything that benefits the troops. USA! USA! USA!

I think this Reddit post and top comment summarizes very well what OP is getting at, and it's hard not to agree.

For those that want to be outraged and insult each other, carry on. For those interested in the ever widening civil-military divide and the chickenhawk nature of our politicians and civilians, the article below is extremely insightful.

That's not the point. The point is, that military people go into combat at the order of the country. Where the American people say we are needed, we go.
Oh and you do realize we've stopped hundreds and thousands of terrorist plots since 9/11 right?
