Since True Detective was mentioned, I'll say this, again, like in the other thread, not looking to start a war.

My point is that you usually see the best of something in the first installment, kind of like how many bands have that great first album. I think it's because a lot of the material is things the author has inside most of their life. It's the golden material.

It is a credit to the brothers and everyone else behind Fargo to see that season 2 is outstanding as well. Caught you with the first episode and it's done nothing to disappoint. You'd think there would be a lull like even most great series, but so far, not at all. There may be a slower episode, but with all this has on the table, it's hard to see where it can really slow down.

The scene where they're in the car and the momma finally consoles the lunatic son made me think of how many great story lines this thing already has going on, all at once.

I'll just say superb and leave it at that.

My DVR cut out right after The police and Ron Swanson and Sonny were looking at the car and piecing it together, what happened after? I wanted to watch on demand, but Cox won't let you fast forward on demand shows.

, what happened after?

Indian went to butcher's house and found evidence

State trooper went to Butcher's home and asked him to come clean. Tried to explain the danger they were in. They threw the trooper out of the house.

what about the Butcher's money? She spent it on that class?

Man there is so much going on. I do agree Dunst is the biggest nut job of them all so far.

I feel sorry for her. She and her husband are losers, not evil. I think it's a bit crazier to use your son to help you murder someone.

This season will wind up being better than the first. The atmosphere of suspense it creates is just masterful.

Yeah, no, that hair dresser boss is much worse than Dunst imo.

They arent losers. Ole boy works hard, wants to take over the butcher shop, not a loser at all.

This show is so great, once it's over I can't wait to binge them all and see what I missed.
The kid stabbing the guy in the back of the neck was unexpected, I thought he was going to shoot him. Kid just wanted to watch his Ronald Reagan movie.

Pretty sure the kid in the theater was the oldest son.

I disagree about the husband. He's a pushover who is allowing his wife to talk him into insane things. Sad part about it is that he will likely bite the bullet for it and she will likely escape any and all consequences. I see Peggy as the Lester of the season, only without the comeuppance at the end.

Landry should have gone to the police when he first found out about the accident. His wife hitting the guy was more his fault than hers and he killed the guy in self defense. Failing that he absolutely should have come clean with Lou last night. Might be some trouble for the cover up but i doubt that the legal trouble they would have would be far less dangerous than whatever the Gerharts have planned for them.

didn't he call the kid dodd at one point? Plus since it went from that flashback to dodd driving I took that as him having the flashback. I could be wrong

eta: Unless you were referring to dodd and not the actual eldest son, which died in the war according to the mom
