I doubt I would ever get friend zoned. First off I am in my 40s, if you are getting friend zoned in your 40s, something is seriously wrong with you.
Second, even being married, I get woman throwing themselves at me. I got asked for my phone number twice on halloween. I was there with my wife, and told them both i was married. One still insisted on the number (instead told her to friend me on facebook), saying she just wanted to be friends.
But I would totally fine just having a cuddle relationship. I really love cuddling, and not all cuddlers are created equally.
eta: my wife and I call it snuggling and do it for an hour or two a day.

To be fair to OP:
When i was in college, I had a very very attractive neighbor. For a few months, we'd hook up every other day but the unspoken understanding was that she was in a serious long distance relationship with someone and she was unwilling to put out.
It was actually a nice setup. I could still date and have fun with other women but if I wasn't getting lucky one night, I could always go over to her house and do some freaky stuff.
Seriously, you would think you can't get that freaky with no sex but good god I was wrong. Ugh, I miss her.

No. Usually as we go to sleep at night, and then when we wake up in the morning. Length of session depends on a variety of factors.

Snuggling is a great thing. It should also be done with someone you're probably banging though. Snuggling consistently with someone who you're not having intercourse with seems odd.

Well I have snuggled with one of my wife's friends. We didn't sleep together, although i would really like to. But I ain't trying shite with her, as she is one of my wife's best friends plus I dont sleep around on my wife. eta: I think she would be open to the concept if approached correclty
