This place, I tell ya. Someone down voted every post in the Sid Ortis thread.

Sorry for hijack, hope to see Devin next year. Immediate impact on special teams. He reminds me a but of kenny Hilliard

It was a good win, but it was even better to see the culmination of a slow climb out of the abyss of the losing seasons of '08-'11. During that time, Springhill HS won only 4 games ('08-'10) and North Webster HS ('11) won only 3 games. Since coming to NW in '12, Coach Ware has done an excellent job of building a powerful program. The way NWHS's offensive line was blocking the porous Green Oaks defense Fri night, Devin could've had a gazillion yards. As it was there were plenty of rushing yards to spread around: the other tailback (Smith) had >200 yds, soph RB (Hawthorne) had >170 yds and 4th string RB scored a TD. Should be an interesting run in the playoffs this year for NW.

I was told that DW has come up all of the sudden with a bad arse, brand new ride. I don't know anything about his family. Any reason why this would be worrisome?

Good deal. That kind of thing inherently raises eyebrows. A highly recruited athlete showing up at high school in a new $35,000 car is gonna cause chatter and apparently it has.

Good to know it's legit.

Still, though. Bad optics even if it is legit.

Real talk, don't get your hopes up too high. Word is that he is a Bama lock. His parents can't afford to buy him a car, let alone a new Charger, I hope that the ones around him that like LSU can convince him to stay in Louisiana, but that's not what we are hearing.

Real talk.

You said Charger so you are in the know. People are curious about the car from what I hear.

Speculation is that LS is involved because he helped him get his first car but helping a kid get into a beater when he gets his license is a hell of a lot different than putting him in a ride like that.

Shady as shite.

Who is LS? Tried to figure this out but all I could come up with was Luther Smavis.

Just wanting to be careful here and make it clear that I am not insinuating that the car isn't above board. All I'm saying is that people talk and eyebrows are raised whenever a highly recruited player pops up with a car like that a few months before signing day. That is ALL I am saying.

The initials I posted are not in any way related to any college program. Someone from the area would be able to figure them out. No one outside of the area will.

As far as me, I've been on TD for over 10 years and I don't leave IRL bread crumbs here that could come back and bite me if I get in a spat, lol. I'm just familiar with the Springhill area.
