Read all of his books, great reads.
Anyone have another series similar to Flynn or Thor?

Was most interested in the Lusitania and Hitler books but I've never read a non-fiction novel
Just finished Devil in the White City. Fascinating read about the Chicago World Fair. Highly recommended.
OP, I recommend the Revenant. It will be a new movie, but the book was really good.

The bible: terribly over rated fiction.
The bible is like the OT. If you take anything literally or as fact you're an idiot but there are basic truths at its core.

I've read all of them.
I'd recommend reading at least the first 5 in order. They're the best. After that the order doesn't matter and they're great books.

If you want a book that will truly change your life I recommend Eckart Tolle's A New Heaven and A New Earth. Most people aren't ready for it though.

Read Tom Robbins' Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates. Then follow it up with Jitterbug Perfume from the same author.
You're welcome.

I needed a change of pace so I started reading A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George R.R. Martin. It's set 100 years before the Game of Thrones books. It's awesome, I forgot how much I liked those books. It's been a nice departure from the histories and biographies I usually read.

A couple from the '50's and the '90's that Chesty would like if Bulldogs could read:
The 38th parallel
Breakout. ( Chosin reservoir). Both by Martin Russ, 1MarDiv, 1952-3
2 great and entertaining historical novels:
The Prague Cemetery
The Name of the Rose. Both by Umberto Eco

just read the first 2 books of Greg Iles Natchez Burning series
The Quiet Game
Turning Angel
really enjoyed them both, waiting on the 3rd book to come in from library before reading Natchez Burning
Thought Quiet Game was a little better, couldnt put it down

I've read all of Flynn's Mitch Rapp series (except the once released this month) and Thor's Scot Harvath series. Both are excellent.
If your looking for similar series, I would try [ Brad Taylor's series. He's a retired Army Lt. Col. and spent time in Special Forces. I've really enjoyed his books.
I would also recommend Dalton Fury's (yes, its a psuedonym) books.

The Sisters Brothers is one that's on my list. Can you say a little abt it? Is it good like, say, Blood Meridian, or good like Louis L'Amour? To me there is a difference, and I want Blood Meridian good.

Just finished All of Erik Larson's books, finished up with the big short. I need more books to help keep me occupied, any suggestions?
Have you read Officer and a Spy by Robert Harris? It's historical fiction about the Alfred Dreyfus affair. Just finished it yesterday, knew nothing of it beforehand.
