Checking on source's credibility, but if @ArmanditoV is right, Tyreke Evans will be having surgery on his sore right knee. Severity unknown.
WTF!!!
Can we have one damn healthy season? Let's hope this is just some internet rumor.

Looks like we may be in the Simmons sweepstakes at this pace

While that sounds great in theory, I am ready for a legit team.

Can't have a legit team with half the team on the bench. This team is injury prone and we will never be legit with how fragile we are. It's seriously gotten out of hand.

This was the rumor like 4 days ago.

I hope this isn't true

If it is, the rumors so far have suggested a 6 week timeline, so it's not like he tore an ACL or something.

If it was a way we could guarantee this, I would be all for tanking the season before it even begins Long term wise Simmons paired with Davis would be beastly.
But given the way the NBA rules are in the lottery, I'd rather see the team make a run to the playoffs.

If true this season could be a wash. Pathetic how we can't stay remotely healthy for a season.

Why is everyone on our Roster so fricking injury prone?
Posted on 10/19/15 at 10:58 am to 504ByrdGang
It's really 1 of 2 things:
1: our medical staff sucks and they don't instil any injury prevention methods
2: our medical staff is actually doing their jobs but the players aren't fully committed to the rehabilitation excercises.
I can relate to #2 having a few injuries myself. They work with you one on one but there are also excercises you are suppose to do on your own, which the players could be avoiding. Who really knows. All I know is this teams potential will never be reached if this keeps on happening, and there has been nothing positive to make me think that it won't stop happening.

Yeah, frick that. I have been a STH from damn near the beginning and it's time for us to beat some arse. Simmons may be amazing or he may suck balls. Chances are he is going to be great, but even that wont away my desire to see a team compete this year.

Wait, so this is the source of the latest version of this rumor?
Seems as likely a tongue in cheek comment as actual breaking news. Mason gave it credence because Tyreke follows Armando on twitter.
I'm going to stick with the original rumors that came from MM being coy on twitter and the poster on PR that warned us about Ryno's surgery ahead of time saying he had heard bad news about Tyreke too.

Tweet about Tyreke that was deleted (maybe due to inaccuracy or b/c he was told he shouldn't have publicized it):

Bad Reke was hard to tolerate, but good Reke is one of the major reasons why we made the playoffs. Whatever rumor is true, not true, I just want a healthy team for once.

Of course Eric Gordon is on the injury list, story of his NO career!
Against the Rockets, the plan is to rest forward Anthony Davis, and six other Pelicans — Tyreke Evans (who’s having his knee examined), Quincy Pondexter (recovering from knee surgery), Omer Asik (calf strain), Norris Cole (ankle sprain) and Luke Babbitt and Alexis Ajinca (hamstring strains) — are out.
Eric Gordon (back spasms) is questionable. He has missed the past two games but likely would have played if they had been regular-season games, Gentry said.
“It’s just one of those things,” he said. “Guys play hard and sometimes injuries happen, and then guys play hard and sometimes there’s no injuries at all. Last year when I was at Golden State, we had very few injuries at all. That didn’t mean that we didn’t play hard. We probably played as hard as any team in the league.”

Did you come from 2013?? Welcome to the future. We have many things now...none of which are Bruce Jenner.

IIRC, it's a 3-4 week recovery. With his having the issue about a week ago, I wish they would have done this sooner.
