The only song I really didn't want to miss, "Stay", and he doesn't play it! It's not like the guy has so many giant hits that he can skip one. He still sounds good, show a little bit sedate, but sound was good. Thought for sure he'd close w Stay. Left disappointed.

Dude you missed it, he played it as the encore.

Why didn't you stay, a little bit longer?

GTFO. Sedate my hind quarters.

He was charismatic. The band was incredibly tight. Hell, the opening act of his backups got a standing O.

Was it a hit parade? No. Go see Taylor Swift if you want that. Did it showcase Browne for the incredible performer and professional he is? Damn straight.

Everyone left disappointed. What a boring concert. People were yelling out to play old stuff left and right. One guy looked at his buddy and asked if he had a CD so he could listen to Jackson Browne. I had a free ticket so I went, but i wouldn't ever pay money to see him. His music is good for what it is, but it doesn't do it for me.

Did he provide a lecture regarding his superior political views?

Again, as my opening post stated, the sound was good. He still has a great voice. I guess for me personally his anthem has always been Stay. Lots of memories from my youth w that song. Like Paul Mcartney not playing Hey Jude. Okay not fair to compare him to that but you get my point.

I agree the opening act was great, great guitar and vocals.

I get that.

Jackson Browne is unwilling to be Neil Diamond. I'm like you, in that I love his old stuff. But this guy is all pro musician, and he isn't going to do a medley.

As to the politics, he was relatively muted. I said "relatively."

The story he told about Leaving Winslow was almost worth the price of admission alone.

I think Steve Earle, Neil Young, and Jackson Browne are lining up to tour together next year. There will be no music or song, just political propaganda and white guilt.

ya those guys were behind me. It was pretty childish and i hope Jackson Browne couldn't hear them. I thought it was a great show, particularly the last hour or so of his set.

Add James McMurtry, it'd be a helluva concert and an abortion of a liberal buffoon fest.

Guy has/had talent, I just don't listen to his music anymore given that he is such a condescending prick in his political views. We are all stupid and only he "gets it", but please buy my records and attend my shows....pass.

I saw him solo acoustic and he was amazing. Saw him with his full band and he played mostly new bullshite and ended it with a pro-Obama rap (would feel the same if he did a pro-Bush rap). Total shite.

Well, it's not like that at all. Jackson Browne did not write "Stay". He's not obligated to play it.
