I just remember when Cam would brag on playing CFB, or be dressed up as Fizbo and threaten to whip some dude's arse at the gas station. I always thought it was cool/funny how he was so girly sometimes, but could man up when need be. And he always needs to be because Mitchell is such a dramatic pussy.

This doesn't give anything away. Cam is hanging with the frat guys talking all deep-voiced about football and bros and as soon as Mitchell walks in he's all "heyyyyyyyyy sweetie." It's funnier than I just explained it.

I might have to re-rank the ABC Wednesday night line-up. I had Modern Family holding strong at #1 coming into the fall season, but The Middle and Blackish have had AMAZING starts to their respective seasons. It's funny how as strong as The Goldbergs and Modern Family are, they might be the bottom two Wednesday night comedies so far this season.

blackish is my favorite show right now. Then Goldberg's followed by Fresh off the Boat.

"Oh, there you are"

Cam and Mitch carried the whole episode. Phil and Cam are my favorites but last Phil and those ducks was WTF. I love this show and hope this is just a little blip while they figure out what to do with the aging kids.
Anyone seen Manny's RL sister on that Disney show? Bless her heart, they are identical.

Little kid Luke was awesome, now he's just another awkward teenager.

Show has just about run its course, but it was a great run.

It's hard to write 22 really good episodes a season of anything let alone a family comedy. Not too much room for creativity

Mitch would be third

Oof! I think the show is pretty good overall but I also think Jesse Tyler Ferguson might be the single most unfunny comic actor I've ever seen.

I liked the first few episodes but last night was weak. Really weak. The duck crap was just turrible along with all of the subplots.

The last 3/4 of last season and this season have been average at best.

It's run it's course. They should make it about the kids and the adults be the group who get 5 minutes an episode.

It's also in it's 7th season. This is when most shows realize they are done. Shows that get to season 8 do so on their past history.

As mentioned by most, Luke and Manny are annoying as frick. Like someone said, it's basically Scrubs where now certain characters are just completely dominated by unrealistic personality quirks.

quote:

Agreed. dude is annoying. Only thing I have liked about him was his songs he wrote. Two favorites: I wanna do you and the one that ends in tiny pink panther.

When he busted out into "Imagine me nakeeeeed", I lost it. I still sometimes find myself humming that.

quote:

Loved Mitchell getting on the virtual coach with Luke.

"The best offense is a good defense. Well that can't be right"

I know some hate Mitchell, but I think he's awesome. He and Cam are incredible together.

quote:

Couldn't agree more. Granted I did like how they portrayed him last night. As a bro's bro just trying to fit in with every crowd who moves in upstairs.

Frat angle in this past episode was awesome.

You see, stand alone I could agree. It's his sarcasm I like. Same with Claire, her eyes and facial expressions. Also, after watching older episodes I would have to say Phil and Jay are 1A and 1B respectively, Cam 2, Mitch & Claire 3, and then the rest. I guess this past episode put Mitch into more scenes as he had great trade offs with Cam and Luke in the car.

I appreciate subtle humor much more than the over the top variety. Michael Scott was hilarious when he was wrong about word usage but not so much when dressed up as Willy Wonka.

I feel the same way about Phil, Cameron and Gloria. When the go over the top with their antics they're just not as funny.
