Any reports from Sister Lake/Lake Mechant? How far have the trout moved in?

They have begun moving farther north than that. I am sure you can still catch some though.

thats the plan, just trying to get an idea of what direction we're going to head. Hoping we dont have to go all the way out to Pelican Island and can just stop short and catch what we want much closer to the camp.

I don't think they are thick in decade yet but have heard of a few people catching some in there. Also they are in the marsh around Juggs.

ETA: I would think they are scattered now so I would just bounce around and pick away at them.

fish were scattered over the weekend in Antoine and Deer bay. I hate drift fishing lakes and birds and small fish so I ran to Pelto and pulled out a few more quality fish but not a lot of numbers.

water was decent. We bowfished saturday night in the area and there were very few reds seen. This time of year is hit and miss. But gets better every day.

Monday we caught 74 and a handful of white trout with Captain Josh Ellendar. We did most of our damage in the area of Sister Lake and picked up a few by the camps working birds. The good news was we only had about 10 throwbacks with a few 16-17" mixed in. Sparkle Beetle under a cork was the ticket. We also caught reds and drum til our arms got tired but I have no idea where we were.
