Looking at how miles addresses injuries in the past I wouldn't expect him for the Florida game. Players with more serious injuries seem explained very vaguely by miles when he is addressed with an injury question.

While this is true, from my experience in knee injuries, the pain comes from mcl, pcl, miniscus damage.( one if not all of these are generally damaged in an ACL tear) While I'm sure just an ACL hurts to it's the least painful but most important for stability. Therefore one could possibly stand and walk with only an ACL tear.

People in the know on this website, redfield and others, stated he is definitely out for Florida.

Let him rest the next few weeks
Get him ready for Tuscaloosa
Get him ready for Tuscaloosa

so is it a nick, a tweak, or a ding? just trying to gauge the seriousness of his injury.

This wouldn't be too terrible

Most guys with torn ACLs get carted off in pain don't they?
Nope, not that uncommon for someone to be walking around fine after an ACL tear. I remember Deuce McAllister jogging off the field after tearing his.

It only affects lateral movement. If JD would have tried cutting, he probably would fall down again.

Sprained ACL.
Grade 1 Sprains. The ligament is mildly damaged in a Grade 1 Sprain. It has been slightly stretched, but is still able to help keep the knee joint stable.
Grade 2 Sprains. A Grade 2 Sprain stretches the ligament to the point where it becomes loose. This is often referred to as a partial tear of the ligament.
Grade 3 Sprains. This type of sprain is most commonly referred to as a complete tear of the ligament. The ligament has been split into two pieces, and the knee joint is unstable.

shoulder is connected to the body, which is connected to the leg which is also the thigh, might be a high shoulder injury.

was definitely his thigh
That was my thought after he got hit, but it depends on how his knee locked up when he got hit. I could see some ligament damage.

I drove home after tearing my ACL in college. My daughter played soccer on a torn ACL until the end of the season.

The leg was planted into the ground so it torqued his knee.
You could see his knee buckle upon the hit to the thigh. It is probably an ACL tear or sprain, but in either case, he'll likely be out a little bit of time at least. It's a shame, but is the cost of people going low to take guys out. Clean hit, just unlucky for Moore.

Sprained ACL. They wanted to put him back in the game but they decided against it since we were up by a few scores.
I would love it if this were true.
Edit: Obviously as opposed to a tear or something. I read that and it sounded bad

It's a grade 3 tweak, bordering on a ding.

To me it looks like got the injury when making his cut, not necessarily from the tackle.
