How did this make it to court? It's a frickin 12 year old taking the stand while sitting with his dad, talking about an "offense" committed at 8 years old, and being sued for money that a 12 year old shouldn't have.
Luckily for him, he doesn't have to worry about his aunt anymore now that his mom is gone, he's never gonna see that bitch again. Also I'd imagine if the will was done correctly, the boy's money from his mother's death will be completely in his father's name or will be in a trust for him. If it's in a trust for him, it's not his money until he reaches a certain age, and is considered a separate entity similar to an LLC. She can't sue him for that money because it legally won't be his if they did this correctly

I hope the jury zeroes her and the attorney is sanctioned.

What a huge fricking count. His mother died last year and now his Aunt sues him for something that happened 4 years ago. What the frick is this world coming to?
So if I am interpreting what is probably happening correctly, the minor came into some life insurance money to help ease the burden of his mother's passing, and the aunt decided that this was an opportunity to enrich herself by taking advantage of her vulnerable family. I guess I'm maybe making a lot of assumptions, but this bitch seems straight up evil.

What jackass attorney took that case? He should be disbarred.

why? his client has a case. the kid negligently caused injury to his aunt and she's suffered from that injury.

For the child to have jumped into her arms wouldn't she have to have had her arms open inviting him to do so? Seems to me like she invited the "negligent" activity.

I hope that kid gets to pick Aunt Jenny's nursing home.

I had a former boss that was from Pennsylvania. He told me that my wife should sue our home owners insurance because she slipped in our drive way and broke her toe. To some people it is all about the money, I am not one of them.

Somewhere someone is justifying this by saying she is only going to sue for the max limits of the homeowners liability policy. Just like every fricker that gets in a minor traffic accident. They ignore that we ALL bear the burden of this bullshite every month when we pay outrageous mandated insurance policies. Trial Lawyers are really and truly fricking up the US.

Are you trying to say you´d truly be a dark helmet, were you from Pennsylvania?

I bet some of you think the McDonald's coffee case was frivolous too.

There is an exclusion for that in the policy
