I could see it bringing in upwards of $3000, especially if it's autographed.

It'll be upwards of 10k or more. This will be highly publicized and it's for a good cause. Plus, it'll be worth something at some point and Fournette will probably sign it eventually. I can see the big money guys that went to LSU getting in on this like Shaq, Todd Graves, etc.

Too bad he went to UGA... Seems to still like LSU after taking some entrepreneurial classes though

I know, but it would be a good memorabilia piece to have in one of the locations on campus.

Agreed. Wonder if it will be the purple jersey?

Pretty sure it will be the game jersey he wore against them.

Just imagine if one of the big name millionaires gets to bid on that dude, i mean no doubt it will probably be in the tens and hundreds of thousands. Its possibly the greatest player in LSU history in Steve Spurriers last game, and its also going for a good cause.

This is what I said and was laughed at in another thread. I think it'll go for around 15k because I think a business or alum will step up. Guess we will see.

What about his jockstrap from the game?

Wouldn't mind wearing that bad boy for my slow pitch softball games on Thursday evenings.

If the NCAA is so concerned about players selling memorabilia for charitable purposes and do not want to set a precedent, why couldn't the LSU athletic department give him another jersey, take ownership for the one he wore, and sell it for charity. I do not see the value depreciating if it is done this way. Anyone know of any specific rules that govern this except for the one saying players cannot sell personal items (eg Johnny Douchebag selling his autographs while playing for TAM)

It brought out an interesting discussion, despite the NCAA's ruling.

Leonard Fournette's act of charity has forced the NCAA into a position it can't defend
