I don't see how you sunshine pumpers can think we have a shot at a NC without a strong D-Line in the SEC. Even Eastern Michigan was blowing our boys off the line of scrimmage. The thing that sucks is that this isn't anything that can be fixed by coaching: it's the talent and depth that is lacking. The only way I see us winning an NC is if LF7 literally carries us through ala Cam Newton 2010.

Defensive line depth is an issue but the talent isn't. GFY

Gilmore stands up way to fast....Coach EdO needs to coach him to keep his pad level down (easy for me to say)

there will be teams that make the playoff with a worse defense than ours.

If I were an admin on an LSU board and a "fan" used this to describe someone else during a season where we were 5-0, #5 in the country and featuring the greatest player in a generation, this phrase right here would get a poster perma-frickin-banned.

i dont think one game defines our line. sure, every team has their down games, but Neal has been very good with pass rushing and Godchaux has been solid. the back ups at DT have been good.

the run defense has been good. Pass rush started off hot but has cooled lately overall outside of Neal.

you'll see an increase in sack production against stiffer competition when Steele gets more creative with his scheme. its been very vanilla so far.

i think we'll be alright.

hate to say it but I see the same thing. No surge on dline. Not sure why others are afraid to admit it. Maybe it doesn't matter since we have lf7. Hope so.

Danielle Hunter and Lewis Neal have the same number of career sacks in an LSU uniform. Our DL isn't an issue, other than depth...

Three scholarships were wasted on D-Linemen (Bain, LMFAO, and T. Valentine) who are no longer on the team. There's no way to replace that contribution until next season unless a Squad player steps up (which is unlikely).

our dline is the relative "weak spot" on our defense, but it isn't bad. it's solid, not great, but it'll get the job done. we have depth issues at dt, we can play through it.

Also very few teams get consistent 3 and outs without blitzing. Ask Strong, muschamp, Saban, Meyer, Greg Ryan, buddy Ryan, Stoops,Carroll when they have the players they do it well. LSU's Chavis basically never blitzed, and Steele's blitz packages are the worst I've ever seen!!!

D-line is not our problem, they're keeping pressure on the QB. Only thing I'll say about the D-line is that they seem to be wearing out early... Our main problem is blown coverage and miscues in the secondary. That HAS GOT to be fixed! Our next problem is penalties, though we've seem to have fixed some of those the past couple weeks.

So the same 2 DTS that shut bama and ole miss down last year suddenly don't have talent. Troll attempts like this should be met with perma band
