rying to argue he wasn't good in college or his rookie year is revisionist history at it's finest

I used to think you were a quality poster, but after the last few months, I'm not sure why I ever would have had that terrible opinion.

That hurts. Gimme another chance???

quote:Ahh c'mon. He didnt' throw much, no doubt. But his TD%/INT%/YPA were off the charts good for a rookie. Throw in 800 yards rushing and 7 TDs, and you have to admit there's no chance you were thinking your bust prediction or whatever the predction was was still a solid prediction.
He threw for 3000 yards I'm still confused about why people think he had some mind blowing rookie season. He passed for just over 200 yards per game

Wasn't RGIII hurt for one game in 2011 and his back-up came in and did the same exact thing RGIII had been doing? Andrew Luck should have won the Heisman in 2011.
Does that mean Rodgers isn't as good and shouldn't have won an MVP?

I'm no Baylor lover but that dude was electric. And it was Baylor then, not what we think of Baylor now.
The only way to beat him was to hit him early, often, and late (even at the cost of a few penalties)

And to think, he's still not half as bad as Matt Leinart.

Means Bryce Petty over rated as well right?

I admit, I thought he'd at least be serviceable in the league like a better version of Vick. He tore it up that year in college and outside of TM7 I thought they got the Heisman right

But according to the MSB, if you don't tear up the NFL, you should never have won it in the first place.
Ingram needs to give his back too. Obviously undeserving.

He was the definition of system QB
This irritates me beyond belief. Almost every single QB that has ever played the game of football is a system QB. Hell, I know his talent level is at it's lowest point, but look how BAD Manning looked trying to implement a new system this year. Think how badly Tom Brady would look if he was all of a sudden thrown into Andrew Luck's system and vice versa.
That's what makes Aaron Rodgers so crazy, he can beat you in so many different ways. That's also what made Peyton's post surgery transition to Chad Pennington 2.0 one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen in sports.

yeah but RG3's rookie offense was a SYSTEM

Their offense hasn't missed a beat since he left.
Meanwhile, LSU requires 4 years of schooling and 3 years of apprenticeship to make the offense function at a barely adequate clip.
