CFO of company coming to coast next weekend and I need recommendations for a Top-notch guide.
Any suggestions peeps? They'd probably be interested in a nice camp option WITH the fishing.

this, or capt Rob Dupont with Impulse. They have both been doing very well.

Marty LaCoste in Dularge.

Guides are hit and miss for sure, but Coco Marina has nice accommodations. Decent rooms and if the Marina is still open (likely not in season), a good restaurant and place to grab a drink. A pretty nice overall experience. I've been with a few of the captains who were all great, but they knew several of us on the boat, and they no longer work there. So I wouldn't guarantee that service all the time.
Boudreaux's also has nice rooms and I've heard they have good charters. Tradewinds is open again as well I believe.
All those suggestions are geared towards places that have rooms and charters. You'll find other solo captains that have a good reputation in the area as well.

i'd contact marty. the Reel Inn is freaking nice and has a top notch chef usually. not sure if it can be booked on such short notice, but if you call him and he can't take yall that day, usually travis miller or someone else can run a second boat.
my facebook has been blown up with all the pictures of trout and reds they've been catching.

If you decide on Dularge, Travis Lovell - Reelin'Good Charters gets my vote.

Travis Lovell. Marty and thise guys utilize same lodge and chefs.
They set it up well and all work together to put people on fish.
I use Travis personally because we get along well and he knows when to spend his day catering to folks and when to back off and let the experienced folks have at it

I've heard that Marty wants to leave at 4:00 in the morning because he's paranoid that someone will be in his spot. It must be fun sitting in the dark for 2 hours waiting for the sun to come up.

I believe Boudreaux's is closed. It was leased to a group of oyster fishermen. Not sure if they're still renting rooms.

Show him something different and book a fly fishing guide. Lucas Bisset or Bailey Short are both with the Orvis Store in Baton Rouge and will put y'all on some hogs! Can't speak highly enough of both of these guys.
