Riveroaks Bengals, then merged with Broncos. Coach Ikey was the man! Good times beating up on the Eagles and Pirates at Lee High, then moved games to Woodlawn. Never could beat those SBR Rams. Toys For Tots Bowl Runner-ups!

Yeah If I remember I was two years ahead of you.
Good times, lots of cool adults teaching us valuable lessons.
Like how to spear a guy in a pile or how fun it is to vomit en masse after sprints.

I was gonna say. I don't recall the Bengals being in our league about the time we moved up to Jr's and played at Woodlawn. God damned Broncos. You recall a Tim Holt playing QB for that team?
He's my age/grade and haven't seen him since back then.

Times must have changed... I played for the Perkins Road Eagles in 78,79 & 80 before moving on to Kenilworth and Lee. I am pretty sure we lost 2 games in 3 years. Nobody stopped wing right (or left) counter plays. Had this big mule named David... big as hell. Kids from the other teams would always take "bad" angles to tackle him because he would just run right over them. And another back named Reese... nobody could catch him. Damn right I still got my city champ trophy won IN TIGER STADIUM where I might add I was lucky enough to get to score a TD
Um. Who are you? You obviously played with my brother and a shite ton of friends of his from Village St George to OakHills,to Mayfair up to Kenilworth.

BREC was for poors, right?
BREC teams were just a part of town. We had kids on our teams who lived in mansions on Highland road to us middle class kids through Village St George and Oakhills to the poorer kids in Perkins Village and Mayfair.

I'm talking to you Westminster Mustangs and Broadmoor Falcons.
We owned the bengals when I played. Beat them like rented mules.

Absolutely, Holt was my QB at Broncos (when he was healthy!). He and I were in elementary school together when they moved here. Bengals stopped having a Junior team and merged with Broncos for 86-87 seasons when we started playing at Woodlawn. Baker Buffs was also in that league. We also changed colors to blue/orange and dumped the old green. Have not seen Holt since those days.

Dammit. I was gonna ask you what happened to him? He and I were mortal enemies at Mckinley Middle then teammates on freshman team at Woodlawn.
But he left Woodlawn after freshman year(I assume his dad took a job somewhere else).

Found him. He's in Tomball now and looks like the family is doing well. Good ole facebook and mutual friend check.
Lots of pics of his son playing football. Shocker and funny considering this thread.
