I thought he was supposed to be a beast this year? Even Bill Bellicheck said so.
He sure hasn't been beastly so far...

If he's knicked up, then he's too small for the NFL. he missed almost half of last season w/ injuries.

1 game vs the best defense and pp7
1 game with an injured Brees where he burnt the defense
1 game with mccown
No other WR to worry about

Jesus, the logic of this board. A sprained ankle means he's too small.
AP was too small for college I guess

Brees injury...and lack of a quallity WR counterpart on offense.

seems like most of his receiving yards so far have come late in the game when teams let the underneath stuff go.

I never cease to be amazed by this board. I shouldn't be, but I am. Lot of Datty nominees for worst thread already this season.

Big time WRs don't need "Counterparts". AJ Green, Dez Bryant, Megatron(in his prime), OBJ, Julio Jones(this season), Andre Johnson with the Texans, ETC ETC the list goes on and on. Stop making excuses for him. He is who we thought he was... a move the chains kinda guy ... not a game breaker.

He's sort of small. Not really the typical makeup of a usual number 1 receiver (Antonio Brown aside).

false. All of these have a decent WR and/or TE next to them.

The guy is 5'10.
By definition, he's too small. Doesn't mean he can't be good, but he's unable to win at the LOS against bigger/more physical CBs. That and the other WRs don't help him at all.

If Owen Daniels, Moammad Sanu, Leonard Hankerson, Ruben Randle etc are considered decent then I guess so. None of them would be considered a counterpart imo they are average AT best. A counterpart means that they are close or both above average. Like Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Not like Megatron and Kris Durham or Pettigrew.

There is a difference between a #1 and a superstar
And I'm pretty sure most of those guys have other weapons

Still early for him obviously, only about 1.2 seasons into his career. He doesn't seem like a #1 though.
I think if we get a true #1 we'd be set with Cooks as the slot guy, Spiller in the Sproles/PT role etc. But we absolutely need a new #1 guy

We usually line up a big receiver in the slot

He's on pace for nearly 1100 yards
He's doing fine despite all of the other woes.
