So what was the deal with wills leg? Was it just bone and muscle. Couldn't see shite with the blue filter
It was basically a section with no flesh, just bone. Basically, the creature said that it killed Will when Simmons escaped, but it clearly jumped from the previous body to Will's body. I'm assuming that's what the sacrifices were for. It needed fresh host bodies.
I think the Lash escape is setting up Lash V Worm. Hydra wanted an army for "Death." Lash is killing all of the inhumans that would comprise that army. Maybe the worm needs an evolved inhuman to have true power.
Reading about The Hive, it seems a likely answer. It seems to need to find the right host to allow the parasites to reproduce.

Definitely not. I'm trying to think of who or what the worm could be from the comics.
The Hive in the comics is a HYDRA-created parasite (ironically, the base is called "Gehenna", which is a Greek version of Purgatory/Hell)

Thinking about it more, The Hive makes a ton of sense. There is all the talk of "Death" needing an army to command. The Hive uses the right host to reproduce its spores or whatever. It can then use those things, whatever they're called, to attach to people and control them. If it is able to control a bunch of Inhumans, it would wield a lot of power.
ETA - Also, remember the brief glimpse we saw of it on the other planet. It was basically just a cloaked figure:

I'm looking forward to seeing how they portray Slingshot (Yolanda "Yo-Yo" Rodriguez).
Her power is interesting, as she's able to run at superspeed, BUT after a certain point, she is yanked back to her start point.

Ward confirmed as HIVE.
quote:
In the midseason finale, Ward had his heart crushed by Phil Coulson, a move actor Clark Gregg said Coulson crossed a line for his character. And as it turns out, it'll have a big impact on Coulson and his crew.
According to Tancharoen, Coulson is "grappling with his humanity the whole time, and I think that act of crushing Ward's chest in with his robotic hand [has an impact]."
"As we saw in the midseason finale episode, Ward is back on Earth, but he’s definitely not the same Ward who went through the portal to the alien world," the Agents of SHIELD showrunners told Nerdist. He's inhabited by Hive, a Secret Warriors villain created in Hydra labs.
However, Whedon and Tancharoen said Hive's television version will "have its own unique twist," making him "very different from what fans have seen so far." They go on to say that there will be "similarities that pay homage to the original character," though ultimately, they're taking an "exciting new direction" with Hive.

They've also confirmed a change in Slingshot.
In this series, she's ELENA Rodriguez, not Yolanda (Yo-Yo) Rodriguez.

Nice touch with them calling Rodriguez YoYo instead of Slingshot.
This show is getting darker.

I liked the little jab at the real life "conflict" between the MCU film vs MCU tv universes with President William Sadler telling Coulson "We are just going to keep pretending you don't exist."
At this point Coulson being alive is the world's worst secret. Nick Fury, Maria Hill, President Ellis, Sif, Gideon Malick... Just how many movie people are more in the know than the actual Avengers?

I know that. I used his character name too. I just called him that b/c of how inconsequential he has been. Even as a kidnapped President in IM3 he could be completely cut out and the overall story could still basically work. They'd only have needed to shoot few pickups in order to tweak it to a damsel in distress flick.

This show keeps getting better and better. Can't wait to see what powers this new bad guy has. He might take out some characters before it's over. Daisy continues to get better and better. Coulson keeps pushing harder the lines he is willing to cross including putting that vegetable guy in the CT machine.
YoYo was great. Can't wait to see what evil in humans show up now.

Eden Fesi, the name of the inhuman in the Australian's file, is Manifold, one of the Secret Warriors

So are they really doing a Bobbie & Lance show? I guess tonight's episode kind of confirms that. I don't see it working out. I just don't think they have very good chemistry together.

but i still dont get why may has all of this trust issues with hunter when she, and everyone else, seems like they have none over bobbi and mack literally infiltrating their group and trying to take them down
like even though she went along with it when she got wind of it, i find it weird that she got over it so quickly

Seems May got over the others lying to them because they understood mission first and personal relationships second. Hunter always had a problem staying on point. Not sure how a spinoff with them will work. They aren't spies any more but I guess can go freelance or start their own thing. It could work, they have good chemistry.
This new bad guy seems legit. He's gonna probably kill off someone by season's end. Can't wait to see Coulsons face when he sees Ward. I think Malick's days are numbered as he is another pawn.

I just thought it was odd that Coulson would actually give two shits about being told to disavow some of his people.

Damn that ending was pretty sad. Never thought agents of shield would have emotions like that.

They have to make room for the rest of the secret warriors somehow.
We have Slingshot and Quake. Now we just need Manifold (already hinted at), Druid, Phobos, and Hellfire (Absorbing Man's son)

Watching the episode now. Seems to really start building up to Civil War with the watchdogs and the superhuman vs human speeches.
