The class is not done yet we still got about 3 or 4 very critical spots to fill and they will ultimately determine whether the class goes on to be great or one of the GOATs

Every one of his teams have looked the same. We have enough data to see it is because of him his teams are successful. To claim SF won because of any other reason is ignorant.

No class will eclipse 2003 USC class. That class went three years without a loss.
Sam Baker, Reggie Bush, Sedrick Ellis, Lawrence Jackson, Ryan Kalil, Fili Moala, Will Poole, Steve Smith, Terrell Thomas, Chauncey Washington, LenDale White
The Trojans finished 37-2 in the three seasons following the signing of this historically great class, winning the 2003 National Title and the BCS championship in 2004 and losing the title game to Texas in 2005. Bush, Ellis, Jackson and Baker were all first-round picks in the NFL draft, while White, Moala and Thomas all went in the second round. This was Pete Carroll at the height of his recruiting prowess at USC, capitalizing on the breakout success of the 2002 Orange Bowl season and Carson Palmer's Heisman Trophy to build USC back into a behemoth. Yes, Bush's 2005 Heisman ended up getting taken away as the era ended in NCAA scandal, but there's no denying the talent Carroll was able to am

It will be interesting after the season when the Dolphins fire Philbin whether Ross tries to money-whip Harbaugh.

B1G East has the potential to be absolutely brutal.
And frick Michigan.

Some of the insider talk when Harbaugh went to Michigan was that Ross was going to back off on that and wants him at Michigan. Keep in mind, Ross gave like 100 million to Michigan's athletic department a few years ago. That said, I think someone like Jerrah or Irsay will break out the checkbook, and it will be too hard to resist trying to win a Super Bowl for 10 million plus per year.

Visiting Stanford beat #1 USC as a 41 point underdog.
Stanford was 1-11 the year before.
USC finished #2 in the Coaches Poll at the end of the year.
That's how good Harbaugh is.
He took a 1-11 team and in 3 years made them 12-1 Orange Bowl Champs and Pac-12 champs.
Freakin' Stanford! They hadn't won a Pac-12 Title since 1999.

I said from the jump I don't expect Harbaugh to coach Michigan for more than 6 or 7 years but that will be enough. Mark my words the recruiting class he is putting together this year will go down as 1 of the greatest of all time.
Lol it'll be lucky to break the top 10 this year alone. Which is a really good class, but nothing to even suggest it would have a chance at one of the greatest classes ever.
You're retarded.

I told michigan fans they will hate Harbaugh.
But he will lead them to the promised land.
He is damn good.

Good god. Now that's delusional.

Why do you act like this was the case? You're not the man's fricking doctor.

quote:Initially. Not enough data points to see if he's the long-term answer anywhere. He was handed a stacked roster in SF that had drastically underachieved under one of the poorest head coaches of the last decade. His last year was pretty dang mediocre and it would have been tough sledding for him to sniff a winning record in SF over the next 2 years. At least not under his remarkably underperforming offense that was total crap to finish his tenure and hand-picked QB. Related, he appears to be prone to the same staff cronyism as Miles (see Greg Roman).
We have enough data to see it is because of him his teams are successful.
The cons are there, he's just not in one place long enough for them to fully materialize. Michigan fans will eventually hate him.

I remember when it was Rich Rodriguez who would save your program. Then it was Hoke. Now it's Harbaugh.
I don't know if Ann Arbor wins this year or next, but it will be nice if you guys could help pull your weight. 12-2 since Tressel took over takes the fun out of beating you people.

David Shaw was their coach when they won the Pac 12, but you're right about Harbaugh building it to that point. He turned Toby Gerhart into a Heisman finalist. Think about that for a minute.

He will win and win big or go insane trying. I don't believe he goes back to the NFL, he is home now and won't leave. I am glad he is not in the SEC!

Anybody who can make lowly Stanford relevant and then turn around the Niners into immediate SB contenders is remarkable.
If he was a coach in the SEC, he would make Vandy SEC champs.
He would make Northwestern champs in the Big10.
He's going to have the #1 team in the nation in 3 years...and Michigan will be #1 for years. They will dominate as good as USC and Alabama.
Michigan will be the gold standard in CFB.
